Unprecedented Heights, La Paz Hosts Level One Coaches Course

Recognised as the highest administrative capital in the world, even though not the official capital city; that distinction belongs to Sucre, La Paz with the majority of Bolivian government departments, was the home for a recent ITTF/PTT Level One Coaches Course,

Proceedings commenced on Wednesday 13th July and concluded on Sunday 17th July. The initiative that was organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme and supported by the Foundation for Global Sports Development

Local Associations Display Appetite to Promote Tournaments in Paraguay

A five day ITTF/PTT Level One Coach Education Course concluded Saturday 23rd July in the South American country of Paraguay, the initiative being part of a Developing a National Sport Structure Course, supported by Olympic Solidarity and organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme.

Successful, the next step for El Salvadorís Carlos Esnard, the expert on duty, was to organise a series of meetings designed to formulate a solid foundation for progress.

Eurotalents Training Camp Makes Successful Start in Austria

Organised under the auspices of the European Table Tennis Union in co-operation with the ITTF Development Programme, the first pre-selection training camp for the continentís Talent, Identification and Selection initiative, known as Eurotalents, commenced on Tuesday 26th July,

A total of 16 players from seven countries gathered in the Austrian town of Stokerau.

High Pass Rate and New National Centre Combines to Enhance Progress in Algeria

Geographically, the largest country in the continent of Africa, Algeria was the host for a recent ITTF-Level Two Coach Education Course.

Organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme, Zeralda a suburb of Algiers the capital city located in the north of the country, was the home for proceedings. The local Sports Complex provided the venue for the theory sessions, for practical requirements matters were organised in the premises of the Algerian Table Tennis Federation.

Panama Course Proves Beneficial Experience for Guiding Young Minds

Situated in Central America, Panama was the recent home for an ITTF/PTT Level One Coach Education Course; supported by Olympic Solidarity and organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme, matters commenced on Saturday 2nd July and concluded on Wednesday 6th July.

The expert on duty was Ramon Ortega Montes, always known as Moncho, the Development Officer for the Latin American Table Tennis Union.

Developing a National Sports Structure, Paraguay Moves Forward

Host for the ITTF World Junior Circuit Grand Finals in early January 2015, the South American country of Paraguay is currently the home for a Developing a National Sport Structure Course.

Supported by Olympic Solidarity and organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme, matters were administered locally by the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, the National Sports Council and the Paraguayan Table Tennis Federation.

National Hopes Week Next Item on Busy Moroccan Agenda

An ITTF World Junior Circuit tournament in Agadir with an ITTF/PTT Level One Course organised in parallel; next on the agenda in Morocco was a National Hopes Week, the first ever to be staged in the North African country.

Casablanca, some 300 miles further north along the Atlantic coastline was the home for proceedings which commenced on Tuesday 12th July and concluded on Saturday 16th July.

Warm Response in Coldest Major City on Planet Earth

Regarded as the coldest major city in the world, the capital of the Sakha Republic of Russia, located some 280 miles south of the Arctic Circle, Yakutsk was once again the home for the Children of Asia International Sports Games, as it has been ever since the multi-sport event was first staged in 1996.

The sixth edition, proceedings commenced on Tuesday 5th July and concluded on Sunday 17th July.

Urging Tanzania to Seize Opportunity, World Star Motivates Students

Visits in the past, once again Tanzania was the home for an initiative organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme.

Egyptís Ahmed Dawlatly, the ITTF Technical Expert, was the course conductor on duty for an ITTF Level Two Coaches Course and Training Camp that commenced on Monday 4th July and concluded on Monday 11th July.
